Oregon is calling on its utility companies to move away from coal and increase their use of clean, renewable energy.

The state legislature passed a bill requiring the state’s investor-owned utility companies to source at least 50 percent of their electricity from wind and solar by 2040. This marks a significant increase from the state’s current renewable portfolio standard of 25 percent. Oregon’s standard will be the fifth-most ambitious program in the country, after Hawaii, Vermont, California and New York.

As the world’s largest solar manufacturer, 6686官方版app下载 is committed to propelling the growth of renewable energy for a more sustainable future. Check back soon for more news from Trina.
